This morning we set out on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. Since Chris, Mac, and Ethan had never, ever seen the most beautiful hole in the ground, we decided there was no better opportunity to go on this adventure.
We could not have picked a more perfect day to take this trip. The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze. The high hit about 57 degrees, so we didn't even need a jacket (well, Chris is a little less adaptable, and he did have on a jacket and hat for a bit).
Watching the boys' reaction to their first time seeing the massive canyon was so much fun. They had smiles from ear to ear as they looked out across the 10 miles of beautiful landscape. It always makes me happy to know that I was a part of someone's first experience while traveling.

While we were gone, Grammy & Papa stayed at our glorious cabin with Madelyn. She was long overdue for a good nap and as usual, Grammy had the magic touch. After not sleeping very well the last couple days, she took a three-hour nap! You go, Grammy! We told Grammy Madelyn would also be sleeping in her room tonight since she liked it so much for her nap. (We were joking, of course.) :)
I wonder what adventures tomorrow will bring....
