Disneyland 2014

It’s hard to believe that it has already been two years since we first brought Madelyn to Disneyland. Seriously. Where does the time go?

We decided we were ready for another trip (or rather, our wallets were ready). And since Minnie Mouse made Madelyn’s first trip so exciting, we thought we’d try to follow suit. We did not tell her about the trip until the morning we were leaving. I know what you’re thinking. Chris couldn’t keep the secret. But guess what? He did! He kept the secret perfectly!

When Madelyn woke up she came to our room (as she always does – bright and early), she was greeted by two packed bags and her Belle princess gown.

Now that Madelyn knew the exact details of what it meant to be going to Disneyland, she was super excited! We tried to convince Madelyn to try to take a nap, and she did sleep, a little. But, truly the excitement was uncontainable!

This year I found a great deal on a hotel that was in walking distance to the parks, and that made things easy. Once we checked in we wasted no time and headed over to Downtown Disney. It was already getting late, but we figured it was a great time to have dinner, walk around, and of course, SHOP!

Our time in the parks was so amazing! We were all excited to visit Carsland, the newest addition to the Disney California Adventure park. And it was unbelievable. We were awestruck! Fortunately, we took some advice from a friend and paid for the Disney PhotoPass+. It was pricey (because we forgot to do it in advance), but it was well worth it. We got some great shots with all of us (I tend to be the one that takes all the pictures, so it was nice to have complete family shots). Enjoy!
