Madelyn got to do lots of other activities where she even
made some new friends. She spent some time swimming and playing with Tess, her
friend from last year (Amy’s daughter). She also got to meet some of Auntie
Kim’s neighbors at a neighborhood BBQ. Later in the week, Tess even invited
Madelyn to gymnastics camp. She was a little nervous at first, but (just as I
explained to her) she had such a great time she asked to go back for a second
day! And so she did. She had a couple other play dates even; I felt like she
lived there because she seemed to know a lot of kids by the time I got there.
