Disneyland - Day 4

Today was "princess day," and I have a secret to share...

Originally, Chris and I had a special surprise for Madelyn. We scheduled her for a "princess makeover" at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disneyland. However, this plan soon changed as we walked around Disneyland for the first two days. I kept noticing all the little girls walking around who looked as if they had just finished one of these makeovers. Not only was their hair hideous, their dresses were nothing comparable to the one Grammy made for Madelyn for Halloween. I just couldn't see spending the money on something that really wasn't all that cute. Don't get me wrong, the girls all seemed to be loving it, swishing their long Barbie-like braids and ponytails from side to side. Fortunately, Chris agreed. So, Plan B: Call Donna and ask her to ship Madelyn's Rapunzel dress. Stat. :)

I am so glad we made the change. Madelyn's dress actually arrived a day before we expected it, and it came just in time for our princess lunch.

Just as Madelyn was getting bored waiting for her parents to get ready...

...we received a phone call. There was a package waiting for Madelyn at the front desk!

We were all very excited at the timing of its arrival. Now she could go to her princess lunch in style!

Madelyn and Daddy waiting for their "carriage ride" (shuttle) to lunch.

This lunch was nothing short of wonderful. It was definitely on the expensive side, but it was adorable, and the food was fantastic.

Madelyn definitely enjoyed meeting five princesses...

However.. when the dessert plate came out, she said, "Is this all mine?" She was especially impressed with the white chocolate seashell. She swears she could hear the ocean in it. But ultimately, she decided it was much better to eat!

After lunch, we took Madelyn to the Downtown Disney 360 store. Here they put magic pixie dust in her hair! She really thought this was cool, as did Chris and I because it was free. ;)

Unfortunately, a small burst of sprinkles turned into quite the rainfall. We tucked into a shop in hopes it would let up quickly. But we were not so lucky. It rained. And rained. And rained. We finally decided to head back to the condo figuring we could always come back to the parks later in the evening.

The rain never let up, but luckily for a four-year-old rain is sometimes just as fun. ;)
