After lunch, we headed over to Flik's Fun Fair, and guess who we ran into again?!? Minnie Mouse! Madelyn was really excited to show her the new buttons on her lanyard, and Minnie was excited to see them. She even gave Madelyn a big kiss! Afterard, Madelyn ran to her Daddy exclaiming, "Daddy! Daddy! Minnie gave me a BIG kiss on my cheek!"
Flik's Fun Fair was a cute little area for younger kids, and Madelyn fit right in there. She really liked the bumper cars and the train. Here's a video collage of some of the rides there:
We went through the Monsters Inc. ride (very cute). When we got off the ride, Mickey was dancin' on the big stage, so we walked over and danced with him and his dance crew. Mickey's definitely got some new moves. :)
Then we headed over to the Muppet Vision 3D show. That was fun, and Madelyn enjoyed trying to grab everything that seemed to be popping off the screen.
We spent the end of the night walking along Paradise Pier. Man, I love that, especially with hardly anyone there. Madelyn was able to run around and dance and sing. She had a blast!
We tried out some new rides tonight...and I believe Madelyn's favorite was Mickey's Fun Wheel. We got to choose if we wanted to be in a swinging gondola, or one that didn't rock. Madelyn chose the swinging kind of course, and boy did she laugh as our gondola quickly moved back and forth when the Ferris wheel made it's way around and around. She also loved the Silly Symphony Swings. I was happy the three of us got to go on these together. It was so beautiful to watch the pier go by as we flew through the air to the sounds of the symphony.
We capped off the night with a ride on Soarin' Over California - my favorite ride of both parks! Since it was the end of the night, Madelyn started to get a little cranky, but thankfully she pulled it together because she loved this ride! It was funny because I'm not afraid of heights, but sitting next to Madelyn made me a bit nervous as we flew over the ocean. haha She was so excited that she was leaning forward and wiggling around the whole ride. I know we weren't actually flying over California but I guess it's so realistic that it made me a little nervous. I think if we ride it again I'll do much better. I just need to remind myself it's not real and we're just about 20 feet off the ground. ;)
